SHBIE Education Fair 2018

Organised by Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education (SHBIE) and with support from the Ministry of Education, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) will be hosting a one-day SHBIE Education Fair 2018. The fair mainly aims to promote the Graduate programmes offered by SHBIE and to entice the public’s interest to become a teacher. The Graduate Programmes which are offered are Master of Teaching by Coursework, Master of Education by Coursework or Research, Master in Counselling and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education. Apart from having consultation booths and vendors promoting education, there will be exciting activities, exhibitions, talks, sharing sessions, clinics and workshops which includes: “How to Write a Proposal” Clinic, Special Needs Awareness booth and more. The fair will also dedicate a Dialogue session for a light and open discussion between teachers, SHBIE and representatives from the Ministry of Education during the “Tea for Teachers” in the afternoon session. This event hopes to reach out to potential teachers and to share not only glimpse of students’ experiences but also expectations in becoming a teacher. Students from Secondary to Higher Education institutions, teachers who are looking into pursuing Masters degree/PhD and the general public are all welcome to visit, get to know more about SHBIE and enjoy the fair. The fair will be open to the public on Saturday, 7th July 2018 at Central Lecture Theatre foyer and within SHBIE building of UBD, from 9:00AM until 6:00PM.
