Ph.D in Education

General entry requirements

A Master degree and an appropriate proposal for a research project at doctoral level.

General entry requirements

A good honours degree (at least second class lower) or equivalent from a recognized university
Evidence of English proficiency at the level of at least an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 550 or a credit in the GCE ‘O’ level English Language.
Successful performance in an interview and any test required.

In addition to the general entry requirements, listed below are programme-specific requirements.

For Master of Education by Research, Master of Education by Coursework, Master of Counselling

Applicants are advised to write a short research proposal
Evidence of Malay proficiency at the level of at least credit in GCE ‘O’ level Malay Language (Applicable for applicants applying for Malay Medium Master’s Degree Programme)

Master of Teaching

For Secondary; and Vocational and Technical Education specialist streams, the applicant’s undergraduate studies must be relevant to the choice of subject specialization(s).
